Shipments and returns

We want you to receive your order as quickly as possible!
Courier companies are experiencing high demand due to the restrictions on the transportation of alcohol. We will strive to dispatch your wines within 5 days of receipt of payment - delivery to South African addresses will generally be within 7 working days of payment. (outlying areas may take a little longer).
We ask for your patience and understanding in this matter.
Hopefully, we'll be able to resume our 2-day dispatch policy as soon as possible.
Your wine shipment
Packages are generally dispatched within 2 days after receipt of payment. If you prefer express delivery, an additional cost will be applied, so please contact us before choosing this method.
Shipping fees include handling and packing fees as well as postage costs. Handling fees are fixed, whereas transport fees vary according to total weight of the shipment. We advise you to group your items in one order. We cannot group two distinct orders placed separately, and shipping fees will apply to each of them.
Boxes are amply sized and your items are well-protected.
Although we always strive to provide the perfect service, we understand that mistakes do occasionally happen. If we have provided you with items that are not identical to the ones you ordered, we will gladly exchange it or refund you for the relevant amount, less delivery charges and handling fees, provided the original order is returned to us complete, at your cost. In certain instances, we may not be able to acquire the vintage you ordered, due to circumstances beyond our control. When this is the case, we will strive to convey the vintage change to you, and offer the currently available vintage.
Whilst we do our utmost to ensure the quality level of the wines that are sold through abuzzWine, we are unfortunately not in a position to refund or exchange wines that were not to your personal preference.
To arrange a return, please contact us on email@example.com, and we shall arrange collection from a convenient location in South Africa. Returns collections carry a minimum charge of R150 (up to 12 bottles, depending on location), then R75 per 6 bottles thereafter. Collection will be arranged once payment has been received. Customers may also arrange the return on their own account.
Overseas Customers wishing to return wines are accountable for all shipping charges incurred in the return of goods.
Late dispatch / delivery of goods attributable to third party suppliers or couriers do not qualify for a refund.
Wines purchased in error
abuzzWine strive to clearly display the correct information, particularly regarding sales order quantities where wines are sold in quantities other than the usual case of 6 bottles.
abuzzWine cannot be held accountable for errors made in the ordering process by the customer, but will offer a refund.
Because the wines are not defective, the Consumer Protection Act does not compel retailers to take back wines purchased in error.
If a customer requires a refund due to an error made in the ordering process, there will be a returns fee (see "Returns procedure" above) plus a handling fee of 12.5% of the total invoice amount, to cover the costs of returning the wines to the supplier. The customer will be refunded the balance only once the wines have been returned, inspected, and deemed fit for resale.
Alternately, if the customer wishes to be issued with a credit on his account, the handling fee will be a deduction of 10% of the total invoice amount against the credit.
